It's The End of An Era: Matthew Perry, Beloved Chandler Bing of 'Friends,' Passes Away

Actor Matthew Perry passed away on Saturday due to an apparent drowning at his home in Pacific Palisades. He was 54 years old. Reports indicate that a 911 call was made around 4:07 PM local time, and first responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department attended the scene. The LAPD's Robbery-Homicide Division was also present to investigate the death, but there were no signs of foul play. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.



Matthew Perry was best known for his role as Chandler Bing on the hit sitcom “Friends”, which aired from 1994 to 2004. He also starred in “Boys Will Be Boys”, “Growing Pains”, “Beverly Hills, 90210”, “The West Wing”, and “Scrubs”. Before his acting career, Perry was a top-ranked tennis player in Canada, but he left the sport to pursue acting when he moved to Los Angeles at 15 years old.
